4 Day Weekend

Geez what a long weekend this has been. I'll start off with a funny of Karter from last Wednesday. I picked her up from school and they said she had an accident. The poor child looked like orphan Annie. I had to take a pic....

I picked up my 84 year old granny and had her come stay the long weekend with us. Duncan was in Dallas for a clinic, so it was an all girls weekend. I cooked, baked, did some sewing, crafts, laundry, cleaning.... Wow I got to see what it would be like if I was a SAHM. There are some ups & downs to it, but I'm definitely happy to still have my 30 hour a week job. Grandma and I worked on a 1000 piece puzzle. I'm still working on it today. We had a good visit and so glad she came over. I touched up on my sewing skills and now ready to do more. She gave me her Serger and I'm so excited to use it. I'll post pics in a few days of things I've made. I'm pretty proud of myself. The onesies are darling. Glad I have all these little nieces to make clothes for.. I will be sad if I have no more baby girls :( ....... Here are a few pics from this weekend.

Madison & Amberlie gave Karter a bath, dressed her and did her hair. They walked in with her in the air announcing the Princess. Karter was so happy the girls were paying so much attention to her. They did a good job. Her hair was darling.

Waiting for baby Abigail

This past Saturday we hosted a baby shower for our youngest baby sister Alex. She is having her first baby, Abigail Ann Kee. Abby is set for clothes! Alex received so many darling outfits from the shower. She got lots of goodies and we had some goodies to eat as well.
We had two tiered cupcake stands. They were so good. If your looking for someone to make cupcakes or cakes let me know. This lady is awesome!. I made a yummy punch, sandwiches from Chillis, Veggie Tray and Chocolate covered strawberries.

Here are a few pics of Alex from the shower and the darling diaper cake Abby's Uncles made.

In the Dark

Well I have no pictures to share today. My memory card is full and I was going to empty it last night, but the power went out. This is the first power outage for Karter. She asked a million questions and thought it was neat we all had flashlights and lighting candles. She kept asking when the power man was going to come to her house. Here are a few funny's of Karter lately.

I was giving her a bath Monday night and she loves to sit in there for at least 30 minutes! I kept saying Karter lets get out of the tub over and over. She finally looks up at me and says, "Mom am I bothering you because your not bothering me"

Then Tuesday morning she was laying in bed with Duncan and said, "Dad I know what happened to all your hair! It fell down on your face" Duncan and I both just laughed. He decided then it was time to shave.

I love watching Karter read books to her babies, she's so animated and her little hand moves are hilarious. There's never a dull moment with this kid.

Madison has been very quiet this week. No boy drama or even mention of boys. She's been busy cleaning out her room & closet (Hallelujah).

Avery's Birthday Party

Saturday morning Karter woke up to tell me how big she was getting. She stood up in the middle of my bed and said "See mom how big I am, I told you boogers make you grow" She's still trying to convince me that it's okay to eat her boogers. I know it's gross, but some little kids just go through this stage I guess.

On Saturday we celebrated my best friends daughter Avery's 5th Birthday. Karter wanted to dress herself and actually did so very well.

Avery had a princess dress up & tea party. The girls were all so cute and loved the tea party! Here is a pic of the birthday girl! She's so cute and the sweetest little girl. Here is a pic of Karter all dress up in her princess outfit.

A picture of all the girls with Cinderella and Karter decorating her cookie slipper. Duncan and I had a "date night" Saturday night. We had appetizers at Mickey Mantle and then off to the Thunder Game. We won which is always a plus. Oh and if your wondering, Madison's boyfriend broke up with her on Friday, but she already has new digits for a boy named Mitchell. She thinks he is sooo cute. (Aren't they all)

Relationships & Chart Me

Today we started Karter's "Good Chart". They do this at her school and we've been telling her for days I would go buy a Chart for home. I finally made it by Lakeshore today to purchase the Chart & Stickers. There are 5 categories... Going to bed on time, Taking a Bath, Brushing Teeth, Picking up Toys and Being Good at School. She gets a sticker for each category and if she makes a full week with all stickers, a prize will be awarded, yeah! Karter loves games and wants to win at everything.
On the drama side Madison has updated her Facebook status to "In a Relationship" it even links to this Boyfriends page, Craig. What the heck does a 12 year old know about a Relationship?? Everyday it's a new boy so i'm sure some other lucky fellow will be next. She changes boyfriends like I change my underwear! Oh the teenage years are coming way to soon. Wish us luck!

Getting Started

Here we go.. starting something new. I decided to start a Blog copying after my sister & sister in law, ha! This way I can start writing down all my 3 year olds funny stuff and the 12 year olds "daily drama". These girls keep us busy! What would my life be without them. Hubby is at the Thunder Game and has no idea what a Blog even is, he's still trying to figure it out. Madison had a lesson tonight on how to put clothes in the dryer and start it, wow! She also washed her own jeans. Karter is lying in her bed with her milk mustache.... So hope you enjoy my Daily News, (I'll try to post often). Gotta run, being summoned to hurry and turn the Thunder Game on, must be something exciting....
