T-I-R-E-D

Can I just say last week was very exhausting! Duncan was gone for short trip to Dallas and then his annual guys golf trip for 5 days! I had to much to do this week. Monday, the girls had their recital pictures. I had to do hair & make-up and have them dressed by 5:15pm. It was crazy, but got it over with.  Tuesday was dance again. Thursday I had my continuing Ed class for 8 hours. It was so freaking boring, but hey at least I'm done with it for 2 years. Friday still no rest, worked on making a diaper cake for Katie's shower this weekend and a hair bow holder. Saturday I took Karter to her soccer game and it was so cold & windy. Then the rain came, thank goodness the game was called. That night my sister-in-law Addie and I had a blast! We went to the Thunder Game and then a bar under the Ford Center for VIP, ha! My sister Crystal and her husband with their 4 kids stayed the night at my house with Karter. When I got home (1:00am) Dillon was laying in the living room floor. I picked the heavy 5 year old up and put him in bed with me. I had no sleep. I'll never drink Red Bull again! At 5:30am I decided I might as well just get out of bed. I woke my sister & Jef up at 5:45am to get ready for the Memorial Marathon. So then I'm left at home with 5 kids to get ready by myself. I woke up them all up had them dressed and out the door by 7am. (  A 3 year old, 5 year old, set of identical 8 year old twins & a 10 year old). Karter and I watched while the 4 older kids ran in the race. Thank goodness Papa Ernie was there to help find the 4 of them. Complete Chaos. I was home by 9:30am and then out and about by noon shopping. Needless to say, 1. I was Superwoman this past week, 2. I can see myself with 5 kids, 3. I was in bed by 7pm last night.

Belated Spring Break Pics

Spring Break we took a trip to Keystone Colorado. We had a great time! Karter & Madison both went to ski school. Karter did very well. I actually cried when we went to spy on her because she looked to big and grown up. Madison has skied before, but need some brushing up on her skills. She was skiing blues by the second day and did an awesome job. Myself on the other hand, not so much. I'm terrified of heights and the older I get the worse it seems to be for me. I about had a panic attack on the lift on the way up the mountain and once we got to the top I was mad and thinking I can't do this. I walked some of the way down and caught a lift the rest of the way down. I stuck with the spa for a massage and shopping which is okay by me. Our Condo had a heated pool. It was freezing outside, but of course my kids are in the pool. Karter would get out and run around to go down the slide. One of the days it was even snowing on them while they were in the pool. Here are some pictures.

Karter's 1st Soccer Game

Over the next few weeks you will be seeing a recap of our lives over the past 2 months. I've been a little behind on keeping it up. Today is posting pics of Karter's 1st soccer game. All I can say is she was hilarious. She may not get the whole concept down, but she sure likes to run and then go off in her own little world. At one point in the game Karter is at the opposite end of the field running a huge circle. She has a determined look on her face and just keeps running. By the 2nd half she has totally lost interest in the game. Oh well she's only 3 and it's fun to watch.

The Little Steamer that Could

So I've been doing some research on steamers to use for my house. I purchased the Shark Steamer and didn't do so well. It's okay for my shower, but I needed something to really clean the grout with lots of force. After reading all the reviews, I finally purchased this little guy. I love it! I steamed away all the grime in my walk in shower and cleaned my jetted tub in no time. I'm still working on the kitchen grout. That's a little more time consuming. I can't wait to use it on my windows outside when the weather gets a little warmer.

High Maintenance

So how was I blessed with such High Maintenance girls?? Karter wants to dress herself everyday. Nothing I pick out is "cute" or matches. I tried to make her wear some skinny jeans I bought her from the Gap and she said, "Only boys wear jeans". If she wears pink pants, she has to have a pink shirt to "match". It's such a production in the mornings.

Madison on the other hand is at the age where she can't find anything to wear. I went in her room this morning and she's all stressed out. I bought her 5 new shirts last night, but none of them she could wear today for some odd reason. I found a very cute sweater I bought her for Christmas with the tags still on and made her wear it. She has so many clothes it's ridiculous. Now she is wanting to wear all my clothes and shoes. I came home the other day and she comes out of my closet with one of my dresses on. I'm like seriously! She even wears my shoes, ugh! All morning it was about how her face is fat, her nose is big and her hair is wrinkled. I don't remember those days I guess or I didn't care at that age what I looked like for school. Can I just say again "High Maintenance"!!!

Oh Baby!

So my youngest sister Alex came over Saturday to do some sewing. She is prego with her first baby. Karter watched her carefully and asked questions about the baby she is carrying. She first asked Alex what the baby eats, Alex told her "she eats what I eat"... Not thinking that Karter was soaking this all in, she was watching Alex as she was having a hard time sitting on the floor with her belly and felt like she was squashing it. On Sunday evening Karter told me she had a baby in her belly and that "she eats what Karter eats". I just laughed and thought nothing of it. Well today after we were are all home, she told Duncan to be careful and not squash her belly because she has a baby in there. He kept reassuring her "no you don't". Then they were wrestling on the bed and Karter told him not to hurt her belly. At dinner she again said how she has a baby in her belly. Duncan told her again, "No you do not"!!! Karter said, "Yes remember dad last week( her favorite saying), you asked me if I wanted a baby sister or baby brother and I told you a baby sister, well she is in my tummy". She then said, "See Dad how big my belly is"? Geez hope this little phase passes by quickly.

Girls Girls Girls

The girls seem to be fighting a lot more lately. Not sure why since they are 9 years apart!! So I have to share a funny Karter did tonight. She and Madison were fighting over this bear (that is Madison's), but Karter claims it's hers. Karter goes to her room and comes out with a door knocker she had made at school. She says to Madison, "Sissy you know what this says, this says You( and points to Madison) can not come in my room" .. She explained to Madison how she was not aloud in her room and she means it. Karter seems to be picking up lots of Madison's sayings, like "Whatever" and "Are you kidding Me" is her new favorite saying. Duncan had to leave out of town again tonight and he told Karter before he left, "I'll call you later before bed and tell you good night", she said, "Okay dad, call me on my cell phone", ha!
