The Little Steamer that Could

So I've been doing some research on steamers to use for my house. I purchased the Shark Steamer and didn't do so well. It's okay for my shower, but I needed something to really clean the grout with lots of force. After reading all the reviews, I finally purchased this little guy. I love it! I steamed away all the grime in my walk in shower and cleaned my jetted tub in no time. I'm still working on the kitchen grout. That's a little more time consuming. I can't wait to use it on my windows outside when the weather gets a little warmer.

High Maintenance

So how was I blessed with such High Maintenance girls?? Karter wants to dress herself everyday. Nothing I pick out is "cute" or matches. I tried to make her wear some skinny jeans I bought her from the Gap and she said, "Only boys wear jeans". If she wears pink pants, she has to have a pink shirt to "match". It's such a production in the mornings.

Madison on the other hand is at the age where she can't find anything to wear. I went in her room this morning and she's all stressed out. I bought her 5 new shirts last night, but none of them she could wear today for some odd reason. I found a very cute sweater I bought her for Christmas with the tags still on and made her wear it. She has so many clothes it's ridiculous. Now she is wanting to wear all my clothes and shoes. I came home the other day and she comes out of my closet with one of my dresses on. I'm like seriously! She even wears my shoes, ugh! All morning it was about how her face is fat, her nose is big and her hair is wrinkled. I don't remember those days I guess or I didn't care at that age what I looked like for school. Can I just say again "High Maintenance"!!!

Oh Baby!

So my youngest sister Alex came over Saturday to do some sewing. She is prego with her first baby. Karter watched her carefully and asked questions about the baby she is carrying. She first asked Alex what the baby eats, Alex told her "she eats what I eat"... Not thinking that Karter was soaking this all in, she was watching Alex as she was having a hard time sitting on the floor with her belly and felt like she was squashing it. On Sunday evening Karter told me she had a baby in her belly and that "she eats what Karter eats". I just laughed and thought nothing of it. Well today after we were are all home, she told Duncan to be careful and not squash her belly because she has a baby in there. He kept reassuring her "no you don't". Then they were wrestling on the bed and Karter told him not to hurt her belly. At dinner she again said how she has a baby in her belly. Duncan told her again, "No you do not"!!! Karter said, "Yes remember dad last week( her favorite saying), you asked me if I wanted a baby sister or baby brother and I told you a baby sister, well she is in my tummy". She then said, "See Dad how big my belly is"? Geez hope this little phase passes by quickly.

Girls Girls Girls

The girls seem to be fighting a lot more lately. Not sure why since they are 9 years apart!! So I have to share a funny Karter did tonight. She and Madison were fighting over this bear (that is Madison's), but Karter claims it's hers. Karter goes to her room and comes out with a door knocker she had made at school. She says to Madison, "Sissy you know what this says, this says You( and points to Madison) can not come in my room" .. She explained to Madison how she was not aloud in her room and she means it. Karter seems to be picking up lots of Madison's sayings, like "Whatever" and "Are you kidding Me" is her new favorite saying. Duncan had to leave out of town again tonight and he told Karter before he left, "I'll call you later before bed and tell you good night", she said, "Okay dad, call me on my cell phone", ha!

4 Day Weekend

Geez what a long weekend this has been. I'll start off with a funny of Karter from last Wednesday. I picked her up from school and they said she had an accident. The poor child looked like orphan Annie. I had to take a pic....

I picked up my 84 year old granny and had her come stay the long weekend with us. Duncan was in Dallas for a clinic, so it was an all girls weekend. I cooked, baked, did some sewing, crafts, laundry, cleaning.... Wow I got to see what it would be like if I was a SAHM. There are some ups & downs to it, but I'm definitely happy to still have my 30 hour a week job. Grandma and I worked on a 1000 piece puzzle. I'm still working on it today. We had a good visit and so glad she came over. I touched up on my sewing skills and now ready to do more. She gave me her Serger and I'm so excited to use it. I'll post pics in a few days of things I've made. I'm pretty proud of myself. The onesies are darling. Glad I have all these little nieces to make clothes for.. I will be sad if I have no more baby girls :( ....... Here are a few pics from this weekend.

Madison & Amberlie gave Karter a bath, dressed her and did her hair. They walked in with her in the air announcing the Princess. Karter was so happy the girls were paying so much attention to her. They did a good job. Her hair was darling.

Waiting for baby Abigail

This past Saturday we hosted a baby shower for our youngest baby sister Alex. She is having her first baby, Abigail Ann Kee. Abby is set for clothes! Alex received so many darling outfits from the shower. She got lots of goodies and we had some goodies to eat as well.
We had two tiered cupcake stands. They were so good. If your looking for someone to make cupcakes or cakes let me know. This lady is awesome!. I made a yummy punch, sandwiches from Chillis, Veggie Tray and Chocolate covered strawberries.

Here are a few pics of Alex from the shower and the darling diaper cake Abby's Uncles made.

In the Dark

Well I have no pictures to share today. My memory card is full and I was going to empty it last night, but the power went out. This is the first power outage for Karter. She asked a million questions and thought it was neat we all had flashlights and lighting candles. She kept asking when the power man was going to come to her house. Here are a few funny's of Karter lately.

I was giving her a bath Monday night and she loves to sit in there for at least 30 minutes! I kept saying Karter lets get out of the tub over and over. She finally looks up at me and says, "Mom am I bothering you because your not bothering me"

Then Tuesday morning she was laying in bed with Duncan and said, "Dad I know what happened to all your hair! It fell down on your face" Duncan and I both just laughed. He decided then it was time to shave.

I love watching Karter read books to her babies, she's so animated and her little hand moves are hilarious. There's never a dull moment with this kid.

Madison has been very quiet this week. No boy drama or even mention of boys. She's been busy cleaning out her room & closet (Hallelujah).
