Karter is 5!

Happy Birthday baby girl! I still can't believe you are 5 years old. You are a busy busy girl. We celebrated your birthday this past Saturday at Bouncin Craze. Everyone had a great time and of course you got lots of Barbie stuff (oh joy). This next weekend we get to celebrate sissy's 14th Birthday. It's still crazy that you both share your birthdays.

Disney World June 2011

We had a great time this past week in Disney. Even though it was a little toasty and lots of walking, the girls had so much fun. Karter loved the character dinners and Madison enjoyed the rides. Her favorite was Ellen ride at Epcot. I enjoyed all the 3D shows -Bugs Life, Muppets 3D, Mickey Mouse, & Finding Nemo. We would like to go again and visit Sea World & Universal Studios.

Friday heading home our flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems. We got on the later flight and I drove that evening to Lake Texoma for "Sisters Weekend". Lots of laughs and sun! I can't wait for next year. The lake water was perfect and the company was even better. It was amazing how we stayed up late both nights and still got up before 8am. I love just sitting outside on the back patio telling stories. Lisa and I of course made some entertainment Saturday night by Karaoke and my dancing skills, ha! I miss the girls at work already and so glad to have them in my life.

Day Three at Disney

Today we slept in and then headed to Hollywood Studios. The first show was Muppets 3D. This was one of the coolest shows. It was like the characters
were right in your face. Karter was reaching out for them the whole time. Madison wanted to see the American Idol show. It was like the real show. The 3 contestants that sang were awesome. Next up was the Little Mermaid show. We had front row seats and got sprinkled on a few times. Karter was clapping and yelling. She loved it! We finished the evening sitting on the dock watching the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. We will be back there tomorrow to have lunch in the castle.

Disney Day Two

Walking, walking and more walking :) I'm hoping to have calves and buns of steel by the time we get back home. We are having the best time! Karter had breakfast with the Princess's this morning and her face was priceless. When I get home I'll upload the photos. She keeps saying " this is the best day ever" . We finished up Epcot today and stayed at Magic Kingdom until 1:30am this morning. The Ellen ride was amazing and Karter loved Finding Nemo. We waited in line for 65 minutes to ride Soaring... For anyone that truely knows me I'm terrified of heights. Karter was barely tall enough to ride. We all strap in together and go straight up high to suspend with our feet hanging like we are hang gliding. It's like you are flying. A few times flying over skyscrapers I had to close my eyes. Karter was a little scared, but did very well. We are off to Hollywood Studios tomorrow.

Oh how she's grown!

Can I just start by saying I absolutely love my MAC! I love that it organizes all my photos by date and now I can start comparing photos from year to year. This post is Madison's 1st day of school for 5th, 6th, & 7th. Her little chubby baby face is starting to disappear. She has the cutest dimples. It's hard to believe that this school year will be her last in middle school. Madison is so grown up for her age. Having her at 19 she had to become her own little independent self. She has done so well. I can count on one hand how many times she has missed school since Kindergarten. Pretty Amazing. She has kept a straight "A" record and was on the National Honor Society this year. I hope she continues to keep the good grades and has turned in to such a smart and beautiful girl.

Five For Friday

5 things about this week/weekend:

1. Karter had her gymnastics M&M Olympics. She was so excited! Everyone always comments on Karter's legs. She has the most muscular little calves & thighs I've ever seen. She could be the next Shannon Miller :)

2. Today was Madison's last day at school & Karter's Pre-K Party. There wasn't an actual ceremony, but we did get a picture of her in a cap & gown. So sweet. This is a picture of Karter and Ms. Janice. We sure will miss her. She's the best teacher ever!!

3. How many birthday parties do my girls get invited too? There hasn't been a single month that one of the girls hasn't been invited to a party. Tonight Madison is at one with about 10 other girls and she was invited to another one Saturday night. Karter has two invites next weekend. I'm just glad it's almost summer time and the parties will hopefully slow down.

4. Tomorrow is our neighborhood Memorial Day & Pool Opening Party. The kids line up on their bikes and battery operated cars to drive down to the pool for a little Parade. It's so much fun. We then have a cookout with the whole neighborhood. It's always nice to meet the new families that have moved in to the addition. We never venture off our street since there are 27 kids on our street alone. A house is being built next door to us and they have 3 kids too. So 30 kids on one street, wow!!

5. Sunday we get to venture to this fun place.

The Gaylord Texan. This weekend is the grand opening of their new water park. I take it they are competing with Great Wolf Lodge. I love that it's all outdoors. The Great Wolf Lodge is so loud inside and all the chlorine smell gives me a migraine. I'm hoping The Gaylord Texan will be our new favorite family spot. Hope everyone has a fun & safe weekend.

Five For Friday

What's Going on in my World:

1. Well I finally did it! I turned my notice in at work and my last day will be June 15th. This is going to be a huge adjustment for me since I have worked more than half my life. I'm excited to spend time with my girls and finally get to do all these projects I have in my head.

2. Saturday night the hubs and I are going to the Thunder Game. I'm so glad it's finally on a weekend. These late games during the week are hard for me the next day. I find myself yawning and needing a nap.

3. Madison had a fall at cheer and is now in a walking boot. I'm hoping it heals soon pool season is right around the corner and she is a busy girl. I'm praying for a speedy recovery.

4. Karter will be graduating from Pre-K next Friday. Wow how time flys. I'm so sad she is growing so fast. The big 5 this September.

5. Tonight is girls night out! Going with a fun group of girls to go have some drinks and then see the movie "Bridesmaids". Can't wait!

So what is your Five for Friday?
